Course Description: Students will learn basic
computer skills to assist their English language learning. The course
consists of an introduction to basic vocabulary and terminology related to
computer and word processing, Microsoft Word, the Internet, web search and
email. Students will also use of different computer language software and
programs to practice English. An attempt will be made to support all
students’ individual needs.
Requirements: You must create a dropbox.com account or bring a USB
drive each day to save your work. In
addition, you must follow the computer lab rules about the proper use of
computers such as no food or drink. Keep
a record of what you accomplish. If you
miss more than 40% of classes, then you fail the course.

ability to access information from the Internet for academic, vocational, and
personal purposes.
·
Demonstrate
dictation skills on level-appropriate topics.
·
Begin to develop
note-taking skills on level-appropriate topics.

In order to learn
the computer skills you need, you should try to attend clas every day. If for any reason you must be absent, please
contact your teacher by phone or email to explain your absence.
·
Any student with
special needs should contact the instructor after class at the beginning of the
quarter.
